Meeting Lauren Roberts this week made diving into Powerless even more special. This fantasy romance swept me away into the kingdom of Ilya—a world where being “Ordinary” is a crime, and survival means deception.

Paedyn Gray is one of my favorite kinds of heroines: clever, scrappy, and resilient. Posing as a Psychic while hiding the truth of her powerlessness, she survives on her wits until one bold act of heroism lands her in the deadly Purging Trials. Watching her navigate danger while balancing her growing connection with the prince had me breathless. Their chemistry? Dangerous, tender, and impossible to resist.

What I loved most was how Roberts layers sharp banter, heart-clenching moments, and a fierce romance against a backdrop of high-stakes trials. It’s brutal, swoony, and full of secrets that kept me hooked late into the night.
