My Phony Valentine was the perfect blend of cozy, chaotic, and swoon-worthy — the kind of rom-com that makes you smile through every page. Poppy Hart is down on her luck, her restaurant’s struggling, and she’s barely keeping it together… until one impulsive “this is my boyfriend” moment at a coffee shop changes everything.

Enter Dallas Burke — the NHL’s most infamous bad boy with a heart of gold. What starts as a fake romance for PR (and a desperate business boost) turns into the most charming, funny, and heart-melting story. The chemistry between Poppy and Dallas is electric, but what really got me was how genuine their connection felt underneath the banter and staged PDA.

Courtney Walsh nails the perfect tone — wholesome but flirty, hilarious but emotional. The hockey-player-meets-hopeless-romantic pairing? Perfection.
