Romance in the Coffee Rings Rating
★★★★★ 5/5 Stars
Can we all just take a second to appreciate how unique this book is?
Because I honestly don't think I've ever read a romance quite like it.
This was my first meteorologist/storm chaser romance, and now I'm wondering why there aren't more books like it.
I absolutely love when an author takes a familiar romance trope and places it in a career or setting, we don't see very often. It made this story feel fresh from the very beginning, and I was hooked.
What I Loved
Quincy completely stole my heart.
Honestly...
She reminded me a little of myself.
She's passionate, down-to-earth, funny, and completely dedicated to what she loves.
She runs a social media platform centered around storms, and while I absolutely loved watching Twisters...
Let's be real.
You would never catch me voluntarily chasing a tornado. 😂
I'll happily stay inside with a blanket, a hot coffee, and a good book while Quincy does the storm chasing for me.
The Romance
Sebastian...
That's it.
That's the section.
Okay... maybe not.
The way he calls Quincy "Quinny Baby" absolutely melted my heart every single time.
Their chemistry felt effortless from beginning to end, and every interaction between them had me smiling.
The Tropes
This book seriously gave me everything I wanted.
❤️ Best Friend's Brother
⚡ Incredible banter
📱 Live stream chaos
🌪️ Storm chasing
🏆 Competing for the same dream job
👥 A lovable friend group
High stakes.
Amazing chemistry.
Plenty of laughs.
It was the perfect combination.
The Banter
One thing I wasn't expecting?
Just how funny this book would be.
I genuinely laughed out loud multiple times.
The banter especially during the live streams was hilarious, natural, and one of my favorite parts of the entire book.
Final Thoughts
This book completely surprised me.
It was exciting.
It was funny.
It was swoony.
It was unique.
And it introduced me to a romance setting I'd never read before.
Safe to say...
I'm officially a fan of storm-chasing romances.
This is definitely one of my favorite reads of the year, and I can't recommend it enough if you're looking for something fresh, romantic, and packed with incredible banter.

I'd happily watch storms from my window with this mocha... but you won't catch me chasing one. Quincy can handle that! 😂
